Built on Referrals, Not Gimmicks
Around the Clog is a Boulder County plumbing company that started with one truck and a simple idea: be timely, fair and honest with pricing, and do work you'd trust in your own home. We're fully licensed with the State of Colorado, so you can verify our license directly anytime, and every job we take on across our full range of services gets the same standard of care.
A Boulder County Plumbing Company, Not a Call Center
"We're an Erie-based team of licensed plumbers who got tired of the industry's reputation for vague pricing and no-shows. Our company was built to fix that, with straightforward answers and work you can actually trust, every time."

How a Boulder County Plumbing Company Actually Grows
Seventeen years ago, this business was one truck, one plumber, and a phone number people had to hear about from a neighbor. There was no marketing budget, no fleet of vans, nothing but the work itself. Every single customer who called back, every referral passed along at a backyard barbecue or a Nextdoor post, was the entire growth strategy. That's still true today. Instead of buying our way into being a Boulder County plumbing company people trust, we've earned it one job at a time.
Why We Stayed Small on Purpose
It would have been easy to grow faster by cutting corners, hiring whoever would take the job, or treating every call like a transaction instead of a relationship. We didn't do that, though. Every technician who wears an Around the Clog shirt is a direct employee, trained by us, held to the same standard we'd want in our own home. That's a deliberate choice, and it's the reason customers who called us a decade ago still call us today.
What "Trust" Actually Means to Us
Trust isn't a marketing word here; instead, it's the entire business model. It means telling a customer the truth even when the truth is "you don't need this fixed yet." It also means showing up when we say we will, not sometime in a four-hour window. Finally, it means a price that doesn't change once we're standing in your basement. Every one of the towns we serve across Boulder County gets that same standard, regardless of zip code. That includes older homes near downtown Lafayette and Louisville, newer builds in Erie and Superior, and everything in between, because good plumbing shouldn't depend on where you live.
Where We're Headed
We're still growing, but the same way we always have: one honest job at a time, one referral at a time. If you're looking for a Boulder County plumbing company that's going to treat your home the way we'd treat our own, that's exactly what we're here to do.
Things This Boulder County Plumbing Company Will Never Do
Most plumbers tell you what they will do, but here's what we flat out won't.

Always On Time
Punctuality is kind of his whole thing.
Gets to the Bottom of It
Every clog, every time, no shortcuts.
Boulder County Born

Quick Questions About Our Boulder County Plumbing Company
Is Around the Clog really a local, family-owned company?
Yes, genuinely. We're not a franchise or a regional rollup, we're a Boulder County plumbing company built and run by people who actually live here, started by Doug Briggs and still family-owned today.
Do you subcontract any of your work?
No. Every technician who shows up to a job is a direct employee, someone we've trained and stand behind personally, not a subcontractor we've never met.
How long has Around the Clog been in business?
Over 17 years, all of it right here serving Boulder County homeowners, built almost entirely on repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals rather than advertising.
"If you're dealing with a plumbing problem right now, I'd like the chance to earn your business the same way we've earned everyone else's, by showing up, being straight with you, and doing it right."
